It is the commitment of the UNM Human Research Protections Program (HRPP) to promote the safety and protection of people participating in research by establishing and encouraging high ethical standards and facilitating communication across campus. The UNM Institutional Review Board (IRB) oversees human research conducted by faculty, staff and students at UNM’s main (Albuquerque) and branch (Gallup, Los Alamos, Taos, UNM West, and Valencia) campuses The Office of the IRB (OIRB) works to meet the HRPP’s vision by providing support, guidance, and education to researchers and the community in order to facilitate ethical and scientifically sound research.  To receive important announcements about the IRB including upcoming workshops and events, join our listserv HERE.
